In 2020, Simon Fontaine obtained an engineering degree from the École Supérieure d’Agriculture (ESA) in Angers, France, and, in the same year, an MSc in animal nutrition from Wageningen University and Research (WUR) in the Netherlands. He began his career working for three years as an animal nutritionist at Ajinomoto Animal Nutrition Europe, a producer of fermented amino acids that later became METEX and then Eurolysine. This experience allowed him to hone his knowledge of broiler protein nutrition.
For two years now, he has been working at MiXscience, as part of the poultry species team. His daily routine includes providing technical support to clients and interacting with the research and development, formulation and innovation teams at MiXscience. His work remains focused on broiler poultry, whether it be chicken or turkey. He is equally interested in industry-related topics such as nutrition and livestock management and any issues he may encounter in his profession.
